MY REFLECTION

Web essay was my first experience since I enrolled to CSUN; therefore, I learn how to create my own account in order to add my own blogs which contain my web essay, responding to articles, pictures and video. I was concerned about public issues which might be effects new generation mentally and physically especially young; therefore, I decided to write about socialized by media websites and texting and how youth become addicted to the internet as a result of these websites and devices. I choose my topic which is “On Line All the Time”, to get attention by people either young or adult who are wasting their time on social media networking and texting on mobile devices. I learnt from the researches related to my topic, are the target young people among their age who prone to be addicted to social media websites are women. Nevertheless, youth’s poor lifestyle has a huge influenced on youth’s personality and emotionally which increase the prevalence of engaging themselves to socialize by internet websites all time. Searching to find the answer for my topic questions is a new method I have learnt this semester. My researches were depending on, watching video about scientist’s opinion about internet addiction.  On the other hand I watched other side opinion, which was interview with one of the internet addicts which make me able to clearly notice the side effects of socialized by networking websites.  Also, I was enthusiastic to know who many people are prefer to be online connected in order to socialized comparing to people who traditional socialized face-to face. What was interested regarding my topic is the survey of socializing by network and texting is increasing each year by young people. I came up with my idea throughout scanning and skimming 7 topics related to socialize by media and internet addiction. I wrote all the idea that I got from each article, then I narrow it down to choose what would be more effective to use for my topics. I wrote my essay several times then I read it loudly to figure out what my mistakes were. I found that the difficult part was the conclusion, because I had to mention what is the main idea for my whole essay including why the addiction happened, this is what happened if youth’s become addicted and what was the factors influenced youths could be. Hopefully, my web essay is considered as a strong controversy to eliminate socialized by media networking and texting for next generation.
